"The photos show more than just musicians & settings, they carry emotion, what you feel from the music, the mood of the night. Some more than others, but all offer more."
This is a comment is about my gig shots. Because I'm modest and VERY observant self-critic of my own photography I wasn't so sure about the comment.
Somehow this is true. At first you don't get it but subconsciously I do it all the time. Subconsciously I want to be different compared to everything and everybody else because that makes you and your shots special in real life.
It's not always the sharpest shot, not the shot with awesome lighting that is the best. Shot can be blurry, out of focus, it can have mindless movement and disturbing objects but if the shot conveys the motion of the music, feeling, magic that the artist(s) are creating on stage interpreted by the photographer for Your enjoyment... you have done your job.
You are different, you are making your way through the masses, you are making people enjoy the motion, feeling and the music you see and hear in front of you.
By saying 'You' I mean me (myself) and everybody else who has a chance to shoot at concerts, gig's and festivals.
